During the spring of 2006, McKenzie River Trust and their volunteers planted over 3,400 native trees that will help grow a healthy canopy for use by a diverse array of animals and plants. In addition to trees, the Trust will plant native grasses and forbs, including: native black cottonwood, red alder, big leaf maple, Oregon ash, Willamette Valley ponderosa pine and Western red cedar.
