Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) Interconnection of the Proposed Kittitas Valley Wind Farm
Kittitas Valley, Washington
-
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
BPA was asked by Sagebrush Power Partners, LLC (Sagebrush), to interconnect up to 108 megawatts of electricity generated from the proposed Kittitas Valley Wind Project in Kittitas County, Washington to the Federal Columbia River Transmission System. Sagebrush would independently build, own, and operate the wind project and their associated facilities.
-
CURRENT STATUS:
BPA issued a Record of Decision (ROD) approving the interconnection request, including new transmission facilities that were constructed in fall 2009. The decision to offer terms to interconnect the wind project is consistent with BPA's Business Plan Final Environmental Impact Statement (BP EIS) (DOE/EIS 0183) (June 1995), the Business Plan Record of Decision (BP ROD) (August 15, 1995), and the Supplement Analysis to the Business Plan EIS (April 26, 2007). Thus, this decision is tiered to the BP ROD.
