Contractor Workshops
Project managers, program managers and others who prepare Statements of Work
for Fish and Wildlife program contracts are invited to attend BPA's
January-February 2005 training sessions.
As part of its ongoing effort to improve project management and contract
administration, BPA has developed Pisces, a software tool that will enable
contractors to prepare and submit contract-related documents online. The
upcoming training will include a first introduction on how to use Pisces, and
will focus on converting Statements of Work to work element format so they will
be ready to enter into Pisces. During the training sessions, we will walk
through the conversion process using actual Statements of Work.
In order to get the most benefit from training, contractors should bring any
SOW they are currently working on as well as any SOW they have submitted to BPA
in the last six months. We encourage contractors to work with their BPA project
managers and COTRs to identify which SOWs they should bring to the workshops.
As with previous workshops, contractors must sign up in advance to ensure we
have enough space and materials for everyone. Because
there are limited slots, early registration is the key to securing a space.
Please contact us as soon as possible if you need training but are unable to
attend any of these sessions.
