PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The Kootenai Tribe of Idaho and Idaho Fish and Game propose to initiate a
controlled nutrient restoration effort in the mainstream Kootenai River near
the Montana-Idaho border. The project proposes to add liquid nitrogen and
phosphorus to the river beginning in the summer of 2005.

CURRENT STATUS:
A Final Environmental Assessment (EA) and Finding of No Significant Impact
(FONSI) is available.

PUBLIC MEETINGS:
There was a Public Scoping Meeting Open House held on: Monday, December 13,
2004 4:00-8:00 p.m., Boundary County Extension Office, Conference Room 644,
Kootenai Street, Bonners Ferry, ID.

COMMENTS:
Comments on the Preliminary Environmental Assessment were accepted until May 5,
2005.
